Catching Up on Music

LIVE: Of Montreal @ Roseland Ballroom, NYC

Elaborate stageshow with costume changes, props, playacting, and surrealist cartoons. Shockingly jam-packed audience, full of high-school aged kids. Didn't realize this band had become so popular but evidently struck a chord with the emo crowd.


LIVE: Beirut @ Terrace Club, Princeton NJTheir slow accordion waltzes an Eastern European melodies built the perfect vibe for a lazy Sunday lawnparty at the Terrace club.


NEW: Iron & Wine, The Shepard's Dog


Sam Beam takes his excellent songwriting and fleshes it out in the studio, adding more instrumentation and vocal effects that go a long way to compliment his sparse (albeit beautiful) guy w/ guitar sound of previous work. (Thanks for the recommend Laura!)



NEW: Animal Collective "Fireworks" from the album Strawberry Jam


USED: Hall & Oates
Classic Philly blue-eyed soul duo whose faded popularity has now resurfaced as the cult-classic pop icons they are. Can't argue with these songs:
